Why Advanced Diagnostics Matter

See more. Know more.
Do More.

With early detection, we can treat small issues before they escalate and uncover systemic health links that might otherwise go unnoticed. Our diagnostic technology transforms how we plan, communicate, and deliver care.
Our advanced imaging improves patient understanding and visual communication, planning for implants, orthodontics, and full-mouth cases, airway and TMJ analysis, diagnostic accuracy for bone loss, decay, and pathology, and the safety and precision of surgical and restorative treatments.
From diagnosis to design, everything we do at Smile House begins with insight. When we see the full picture, your care becomes sharper, safer, and more personalized.

Our diagnostic
toolkit.

From diagnosis to design, everything we do begins with insight. Our advanced diagnostics ensure your care is tailored, targeted, and truly transformative. Every tool below is available as part of your Mouth Mapping® experience or as a standalone diagnostic visit.
3D CBCT Cone Beam Imaging
+
A full 3D scan of your mouth, jaw, and airway used to assess bone density, sinus proximity, nerve pathways, TMJ structure, and more. CBCT imaging gives our team a level of clarity that traditional X-rays simply cannot provide, making it essential for implant planning, surgical cases, and complex diagnostics.
Intraoral Photography
+
High-resolution images that help you see exactly what we see. Used for patient education, insurance documentation, and tracking changes over time. Seeing your own mouth in detail changes how you understand and engage with your care.
Digital Smile Design & Facial Scanning
+
Used for cosmetic, restorative, and orthodontic planning to design a smile that fits your unique facial harmony. Digital smile design allows you to preview your results before any treatment begins, ensuring complete confidence in your outcome.
Salivary & Microbiome Testing
+
We analyze your oral microbiome to detect inflammation, bacterial imbalance, and early signs of disease. Salivary diagnostics reveal systemic risk patterns that imaging alone cannot show, giving your care team a complete biological profile to work from.
iTero Digital Impression Scanning
+
The iTero scanner creates a precise 3D digital model of your teeth and bite in minutes, with no messy impressions. It is used for orthodontic treatment planning, Invisalign®, restorations, and implant work, giving both patients and clinicians a detailed, interactive view of your dentition before any treatment begins.

FAQ

Everything you need to know about our diagnostic technology and process.
Book a Consultation
Are these services included in my first visit?
Yes. Mouth Mapping® includes our most advanced scans and diagnostic reviews as part of your initial experience. Additional imaging may be recommended for specific treatment needs such as implant planning or surgical preparation.
Is it safe?
Absolutely. Our imaging systems use minimal radiation and are approved for use in both children and adults. We are committed to the highest standards of safety and always use the lowest effective dose to get the clearest possible image.
Do I need advanced imaging if i've had X-rays elsewhere?
We may request past imaging, but our systems often reveal significantly more detail and allow us to plan more accurately. This is especially true for advanced or cosmetic care, where precision makes a meaningful difference in your outcome.
